United Way is concerned with the success of our entire voluntary sector and rest assured, we have not taken this decision lightly. We have completed an extensive nine-month review of the Great Human Race, consulting with both the voluntary and corporate sectors.

Throughout our community there are alternative walks and runs that present similar fundraising opportunities. Two of which include the Strathcona Recreation for Life Walk and Run and the St. Albert Mayor’s Walk for Charity.

United Way is encouraging past participants to connect with the organizations they have supported in the past in order to determine how they may be able to continue to lend their support.
